Grow your Mailchimp audience with a chat form
A friendly chat can ask for an email more gently than a pop-up. When a visitor finishes the chat, GrowwChat adds them to the Mailchimp audience you choose.
What GrowwChat does in Mailchimp
- Adds the email to your Mailchimp audience as a subscriber. An existing address is updated, not duplicated.
- Fills first name and last name when you pick a name question. The first word becomes the first name and the rest the last name.
- Runs when a response is completed.
Set it up
- In Mailchimp, create an API key and copy your audience ID.
- In GrowwChat, open your form, go to Integrations, and choose Mailchimp.
- Paste the key and audience ID, then pick the email question and, if you have one, the name question.
- Send a test response and look for the contact in your audience.
What to know first
- Native integrations need the Standard plan or higher.
- Only email and name are sent. Other answers stay in GrowwChat or can go out by webhook.
- Ask for consent in the chat if the law where your visitors live requires it. GrowwChat adds the person as subscribed.
- Tags and groups are not set.

They are added as subscribed. Double opt-in is not used by this connector.
Yes. Add a yes or no question before the email and use logic to end the chat on no.
The key is encrypted before it is saved and is not shown again after you save it.
It uses the standard Mailchimp API. Check Mailchimp for the limits on your plan.
